Southeast Michigan EV Infrastructure Roundtable Series

SEMCOG is hosting a series of in-person educational roundtables on planning for EV Infrastructure in Southeast Michigan. This roundtable is the first in the Southeast Michigan EV Infrastructure Roundtable Series.

The Roundtable Series are regional meetings hosted by SEMCOG that include presentations of educational content and collaboration sessions. The primary goal of the Roundtables is to support implementation of the recommendations offered in the Siting Optimal Charging Infrastructure in Southeast Michigan Guide (Guide) and Southeast Michigan EV Mapping Tool (Mapping Tool). Roundtables will provide local governments with opportunities to learn about results from the Guide and the Mapping Tool, strengthen regional partnerships, identify funding mechanisms to support deployment of charging infrastructure, and learn from subject matter experts about fleet electrification.

The focus of this first Roundtable is on painting a holistic picture for communities planning for and interested in EV charging infrastructure deployment, best practices and examples of EV Infrastructure plans.

Attendees will hear from a panel of subject matter experts as well as will have the opportunity to network with organizations in the EV space.

Parking Instructions: Meeting attendees parking at the 1 State Street Parking Garage (also known as the 1001 Woodward Garage) now enter/exit using a pay-by-plate system – without a credit card. SEMCOG guests should disregard the signage posted in the garage with instructions for visitors to scan a QR code. Instead, please bring your vehicle license plate number to the SEMCOG welcome/registration desk, where staff will assist you in entering your plate number for validation. SEMCOG staff will be available to assist all meeting attendees as they become familiar with this new process. Procedures at secondary parking garage options have not changed.
