Katie Grantham, Planner II, SEMCOG Environment and Infrastructure
- Access to the Great Lakes and fresh water is a major benefit to life in Southeast Michigan. The One Water initiative promotes the value of recreation and encourages stewardship to protect our water resources. Learn about this program and SEMCOG's upcoming webinar about it.
- Public Engagement for Regional Healthy Climate Plan
- Katie will also discuss the upcoming engagement strategy for the comprehensive Southeast Michigan Healthy Climate Plan. SEMCOG hopes to engage the Communicators Network throughout the engagement process on storytelling and public outreach.
- Commuter Challenge

- May is the month of our region's Commuter Challenge, an initiative to encourage green commuting options. Learn about this promotion and SEMCOG's year-round Commuter Connect program.
- Safe Streets Southeast Michigan

- "Safer People - Encourage safe, responsible behavior by people who use our roads and create conditions that prioritize their ability to reach their destination unharmed," is a key element of the Safe System Approach.
- Safe Streets is SEMCOG's program to educate people on safe, responsible behaviors. Learn more about how to share messages and materials as part of this initiative, which launches on May 6.
- Communities improving water resources with drone technology
