As part of our regional planning work, SEMCOG partners with local governments, agencies, and organizations throughout Southeast Michigan to provide education on the region's interconnected stormwater, drinking water, and wastewater systems.
This webinar will showcase how local governments can help educate their residents about Southeast Michigan's Water resources by participating in the One Water campaign. The One Water campaign was developed in partnership with Great Lakes Water Authority, to attain greater public awareness and mutual shared responsibility for water resources. The campaign will run from June 1-9, 2024, in coordination with the Great Lakes and Fresh Water Week (GLFWW).
At this workshop, local governments can learn more about the campaign’s social media toolkit, and the best ways to participate and share awareness about water resources throughout the week. Additionally, SEMCOG will discuss how One Water materials can be shared to support communities MS4 Permit Requirements for public education.
We look forward to celebrating One Water and Great Lakes and Fresh Water Week with you!
