Prior to the General Assembly Business Meeting, Education Bloc members will elect their representatives to SEMCOG’s Executive Committee. The Executive Committee is SEMCOG’s main decision-making body, which typically meets six times per year. Elected officials who are on the Executive Committee are also eligible to serve as SEMCOG officers. The list of Education nominees received as of February 12, along with all eligible candidates, will be included in the meeting agenda. Additional nominations can be made from the floor at the elections.
Please note: Only Education Bloc members will elect Executive Committee representatives at this General Assembly event. Starting in 2025, City/village and township members of the General Assembly are convening by county to elect their representatives to SEMCOG’s Executive Committee.

Please park in the nearby Bagley Mobility Hub/LAZ Parking Garage (1501 Wabash St, Detroit, MI 48216). When entering the parking garage, attendees should:
- Select "Other access options" on the kiosk, then choose "I have an access code."

- Take the validated ticket, which should be scanned when exiting the parking garage.
Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable, weather-appropriate shoes for the five-minute walk from the parking garage to Michigan Central Station. A shuttle will be available for those requiring a ride from the parking garage.
